School Day Arrangements

School starts for your child at 8.25am. Please line up under the canopy.

Your child will then also need to be collected at 2:50pm from under the canopy.

Snack, Drinks & Lunch Time

Children in EYFS will be provided with a piece of fruit at break times each day.

Children can bring in a name labelled water bottle, containing water that they can have access to at all times throughout the school day.

Oral blending, learning new sounds, including diagraphs and applying these into reading words.

Growing and Changing – you will receive a PSHE newsletter about this subject.

Your child’s PE days this half term will be Wednesday

Please remember your child must come to school wearing their full PE kit on these days, earrings removed (staff are unable to remove and children will not be able to join in the lesson if wearing earrings)

Home Learning

Thank you for your support with our new home learning format.  It has been wonderful to see the children’s work uploaded onto their portfolios. We will continue with this same format next term. 

As always, if you need any assistance or resources to help with the completion of home learning, please do let a member of the class team know and we will be happy to help.

Reading at Home

Please aim to listen to your child read their school reading book at home 4 times a week (10 minutes per session). 

Please record this on your child’s reading card. The log and reading book must be returned to school each day.

Children will also have a book from the class lending library to enjoy too. However we ask this is not recorded on the Reading Card as this book will be one your child may have picked for you to read with them and is not the reading book matched to their reading/phonic ability.

Online Safety

Online safety for all children is extremely important. Your child will receive online safety lessons throughout the academic year. Please use the following website for guidance and support:

If you have any concerns or questions regarding online safety, please do not hesitate to contact a member of your child’s class team for further support and advice.

General reminders:

Please remember to label all your child’s clothing with both names.

If you wish to speak to your child’s class teacher or to arrange a meeting with them, please ring the school office 01782 234868 and they will return your call as soon as possible before/after the school day, messaging on class dojo will not be replied to.

If your child is absent please ring the school or leave a message on Arbor by 9am, holidays are not authorised.

Holidays and  regular poor attendance may involve fines for each parent and involvement from the Education Welfare Officer so we do look forward to seeing your child in school every day unless you have informed us that they are poorly.
