Year 5 visit Gladstone Museum

A great time was had by all year five as they found out about the history of ceramics in the city.

The children made the visit this week to complement their history learning about local industry in Stoke-on-Trent, which specifically focusses on the industry of ceramics and coal mining. They had the opportunity to find out all about the ceramics industry in Stoke-on-Trent and its place in history locally, and in the wider world.  They also had the opportunity to make a ceramic piece themselves and try their hand at becoming ceramicists for the day!  The children made Glebe proud with their expansive knowledge of their unit of work, and we are extremely proud of their achievements in their history and heritage learning!
