Careers Week 2026!

Glebe pupils learn all about the world of work during our annual careers' week.

Glebe has been awash with excitement and visitors this week as careers week got underway.  From nursery to Y6, each class has had special visitors in, looked at stereotyping and considered their own aspirations, skills and qualities.  From PCSO's to rail workers to solicitors to electricians, children have explored and found out about so many roles.  Parents have been involved too, sending in their postcards about their job roles.  The children could see first hand how each role makes a community and keeps Stoke-on-Trent functioning as a civilised city!  Children have also looked at financial literacy, completing money work and enterprise initiatives to learn how to budget and make profits.  On top of all that, we have held our all-important junior leadership interviews, where children experience applying for junior leadership roles, get shortlisted and interviewed for the role!  The children's articulation of their skills and qualities was amazing as usual, and we can't wait for them to start their roles from September. All in all, a super busy week!
